Dustin Frank, President

Email Dustin
Phone: (800) 705-4049 x501

Founder of Engaging Technologies, Dustin oversees the operations of Engaging Technologies while actively consulting, supporting, and training educators of schools in Central and Eastern Nebraska. With almost 10 years of experience with eInstruction products, Dustin has a wealth of information to share that comes from product and classroom experience.

A graduate of Caney Valley High School, Dustin attended Coffeyville Community College and Emporia State University. Dustin taught high school math at Larned High School in Larned, Kansas, before moving to Liberal, Kansas. While spreading the word about eInstruction part-time, Dustin taught two years at Liberal High School and two years at Southwestern Heights Jr/Sr. High in Plains, Kansas, before taking the leap to become an educational consultant full-time in 2004.

Educational Background:

  • AGS, Coffeyville Community College
  • BSE in Math, Emporia State University

"Having seen our technologies in action in my own classroom and the tremendous effect they had on my students, I could not resist the opportunity to share with others. Working across Kansas and Nebraska over the past several years has allowed me the opportunity to spread the joy of using CPS and other interactive tools with teachers everywhere so they and their students can experience them for themselves and see up close and personal how powerful our tools are."

Dustin resides in Omaha, Nebraska with his wife, Cathy, and their two children, Caden and Kenna. He can still bring it in his "age-that-won't-be-named" soccer league and can't keep track of all of his fantasy sports teams on two hands.

Cathy Frank, Educational Consultant

In addition to working as a consultant with schools on the Livescribe smartpen, Cathy works behind the scenes producing marketing materials, the monthly newsletter, and as webmaster. Passionate about accommodating all kinds of learners in the classroom, Cathy is always on the search for new technologies that teachers can make use of in the classroom to engage students.

A graduate of Ulysses High School, Cathy attended Emporia State University. Cathy taught a variety of junior high and high school science classes at both Stafford Jr./Sr. High and Larned High School. She also spent several summers both assisting and teaching field zoology at the OUBS Field Studies Academy at the University of Oklahoma Biological Station before leaving teaching to stay home with her young children.

Educational Background:

  • BSE in Science, Emporia State University

"I think back to the day we saw our first CPS system. We knew then that this was a classroom-changing technology. It's amazing to think how much classrooms have changed in just the last ten years. We're encouraging collaboration in our classrooms, we're taking the classroom out into the world and bringing the world into the classroom, we're providing a better education to a larger number of learners, and more importantly, we are giving students the tools to learn how to think, rather than always what to think. To be a small part of the many successes that are happening in the classroom - it's really exciting."

Cathy resides in Omaha, Nebraska, with her husband, Dustin, and their two children, Caden and Kenna. She loves playing volleyball (indoor and out), can't help but give her kids impromptu science lessons, and is still learning to cope with Omaha winters.

Linda Peters

Linda Peters, Educational Consultant

Email Linda
Phone: (800) 705-4049 x507

Linda provides consulting and training services for our full line of engaging technologies in the Northeastern part of Kansas.

After growing up and graduating from college in Montana, Linda gained classroom experience from shore to shore. Before taking time off to be home with her young children, Linda taught high school business and computer classes in California, Kansas, and Pennsylvania for a total of 9 years.

After moving to Nebraska, Linda joined ESU 3, based in Omaha, as an instructional technologist. There she gained a breadth of knowledge about the latest classroom technologies, while assisting teachers with the use and implementation of Microsoft Office products, iPods, iPads, iWork, Web 2.0 tools, Google tools, interactive whiteboard technology, multiple learning management systems, and more.

Educational Background:

  • BSE in Business, Montana State University
  • MS in Computers in Education, DeSales University

"Technology in education has so many benefits. Not only can these tools engage students, but they can also lead to improved students proficiency in all content areas. An important aspect of this technology is that it should be transparent and not the main focus of the classroom. The products offered by Engaging Technologies do just this. I am eager to work with educators to show them how to use the Engaging Technologies products and integrate them into their classrooms."

Linda and her husband, Dan, now reside in Lenexa, Kansas (but Montana will always be home!). They enjoy hitting the golf course and spending time with their two grown sons, Bob and Tom.

Nancy provides consulting and training services for our full range of engaging technologies for school districts in Kansas, specifically in the western, central, and southern areas of the state.

Nancy has spent over twenty years in education including working as IT director for a K-12 public school district and teaching college courses at several colleges. As the winner of the 2007-2008 New Mexico IT Director of the Year, she was sited with “her vision for the 21st century student”. She wrote many grants and campaigned for moneys within the school budget to transform her school district with no technology into one of the top three school districts for technology in New Mexico.

With her additional background of many years of accounting and even more years of technology experience, Nancy is a good source for assistance in finding funding to purchase what is really needed to help educate our future leaders.

Educational Background:

  • BSE in Computer Information Systems, Eastern New Mexico University
  • BSE in Business Administration, Eastern New Mexico University

"Training must be done, and continually updated as technology changes. Without proper training, it doesn’t help anyone, but with it we can inspire students, engage, and empower all the students in a classroom."

After moving from New Mexico, Nancy - a proud grandma - now resides in Pretty Prairie, Kansas with her husband, Larry, and their three very energetic Jack Russell terriers.
