April 2008
Spotlight...

  • We've added a new Downloads page to our site! If you have been looking for a PDF version of our individual training modules, our Downloads page is the place!
  • We've added some great new testimonial links to our CPS Success page in the last month.

New testimonials include a story by 4th grade teacher, Dean Boyd, describing how his students beg to use the "remote thingies," Purdue faculty talking about eInstruction, and an instructor testimonial from Beth Swart, nursing professor from Ryerson School of Nursing. Check them out HERE!

  • Check out this article written by Southern Valley High School Senior Kassie Moore about the implementation of CPS clickers and chalkboards at Southern Valley Schools!

The NETA countdown has begun...

The countdown to NETA clicker is ticking on our homepage!

It will definitely be worth your time to stop by our booth at NETA 2008! You won't believe the giveaway package we've got this year. Someone is going to leave the conference this year with a BIG smile on their face!

We've got lots of "clicker happenings" at the conference this year, with presentations on using clickers by Nebraska teachers from Beatrice, Elkhorn, Lincoln, Nebraska City, and Sterling.

Look for an email later in the week with dates and times of all our NETA happenings and the unveiling of our SWEET giveaway package.

Free 32-pad CPS for new users...

Have you been thinking about how these simple clickers could inspire your students to new levels of engagement? Can you imagine having instant feedback on how every student in your class is understanding your lesson?

If this sounds good to you and you don't yet have any CPS systems at your school, be sure to stop by the eInstruction booth at NETA 2008!

If your school does not currently have any CPS systems in place, we’d like to give you a free CPS 32-Pad IR student response system! Simply be one of the first 10 to sign up to host a free, personalized on-site demonstration for at least one administrator and 10 other colleagues at your school.

You'll have the opportunity to sign up at the eInstruction booth as soon as the NETA doors open. If you’re one of the first 10 to host a session, your school will receive a CPS IR system free—a $1,995 value!

Do you already have systems at your school, but know someone who would love to get started with clickers? Pass this on to your "clicker-less friends" or another school in your district who might not have clickers yet!

Be on the lookout for more information in our NETA updates we'll be sending out throughout the month!

Our site is growing...

We've recently added a Teaching With Clickers page that we hope will be of great benefit to many clicker users! We've made a long list of CPS applications and have expanded on some. We'll get them all covered, but it is still a work in progress.

If you have a great idea for using CPS that would fit under any of the topics, please let us know. We'll take original ideas or a modification of the idea that is already posted! Keeping your great clicker ideas to yourself only benefits your students. Imagine how many more students you could benefit across the country by sharing your idea online!

Click to visit our Teaching With Clickers page!

Our blog has moved...
We've moved our blog to the What's New page on our website. You can read our final blog post HERE.

If you're interested in keeping up with our latest site updates, new information, and special pricing updates automatically, you can subscribe to our new RSS feed.

If you use iGoogle, Pageflakes, Netvibes, or any other Web 2.0 homepage, you can have our RSS feed delivered straight to your home page everyday. If you use your own RSS feeder, you can take your pick of how you'd like to receive our feed. You can even receive our site/blog updates directly to your email inbox. You'll only receive email updates when we post something new, not everyday.

So, if you'd like to stay up-to-date with what's going on in the "world of clickers" and receive automatic updates when we add new ideas for teaching with clickers, choose your RSS feed method here.

From the Desk of...Dustin Frank

Springtime is rapidly approaching and now more than ever is the perfect time to let CPS lighten the work load. Your students' minds may be wondering with spring weather lurking and the end of school coming quickly. Whether you want to do bell work, introduce a lesson, check homework, remediate from previous lessons or whatever it may be, let CPS take care of the data for you.

If you are interested in planning summer or fall trainings, please call now. We are starting to get calls booking training dates for June through August! Be sure to get your staff off and running on the right foot by scheduling their CPS training in advance, allowing them time to work and prepare for next fall.

Sincerely,

Dustin K. Frank
