Have You Used "Clickers" Yet???
Presenters: Mary Moser, Pawnee City Public School; Kirsten Smith, Pound Middle School, Lincoln Public Schools; and Joan Christen, Beatrice High School

These great teachers will present how versatile the Classroom Performance System is and how it can be adapted to any classroom. They'll show you how easily the CPS system can be used in the classroom to access everyday learning. You'll see how CPS can also be used to do summative assessment directed toward standard tracking, unit tests with Exam View Pro, and how to use the CPS for PowerPoint to integrate questions right into your existing PowerPoint presentations.

Thursday 2:00-3:00 Breakout Session
Palace B

Clickers and Smart Boards in the Middle School Math Classroom
Presenters: Nancy Pietzyk, Waverly Middle School; Phyllis Severson, Exeter-Milligan High School; and Michelle Looky, Seward Middle School

These ESU #6 Learning Web Team Participants will demonstrate the use of CPS clickers, CPS chalkboards, and SMART boards in the middle school math classroom. Teachers will demonstrate numerical entry options on the newer clicker models, show how to use clickers for "on the fly" formative assessments, and demonstrate the use of the CPS chalkboard in conjunction with clicker technology. Come try out the clickers!

Friday 12:45-1:45 Breakout Session
Salon C

Clickers - How Did I Ever Teach Without You?
Presenter: Dustin Frank, eInstruction

Do your students seem different than 20, 10 or even 5 years ago? Imagine a class where all students are actively engaged and enjoying learning. Experience how CPS is used to stimulate student involvement on daily formative assessments. CPS will collect and disaggregate data on district benchmark assessments in real time. Stop by and see why Nebraska schools are using CPS. Don't miss your chance to win your very own set to take home!

Friday 1:00-3:15 Workshop F23
Salon B

Clickin' the Day Away
Presenter: Melissa Simons, Elkhorn High School

Sure, your students are "plugged" into their iPods and "composing" their latest text message, but how do you "plug" them into learning in the classroom? Join Melissa, a high school English teacher, as you click your way through the basics of eInstruction's Classroom Performance System (CPS). In this workshop, you'll explore both teacher-led activities and the student assessment activities. Engagement is half of the equation as you'll also discuss the use of data to inform, change, or lead your instruction in new ways. Whether your students are elementary, middle school, high school, or college, Classroom Performance System (CPS) and the "clickers" will motivate your students to engage in the classroom. (Mac)

Friday 3:15-4:15 Breakout Session
Palace G

Clicker Innovations
Presenters: Annette Coon & Derek Gangwish, Hillrise Elementary, Elkhorn Public Schools

What better way to excite students than to tell them to put away the pencils and paper because we are going to use the clickers instead!! This presentation will show how clickers can be used in the classroom in a variety of ways to enhance student learning. Annette and Derek will demonstrate how quick and easy it is to create and give review for tests, take tests, or complete daily work using clickers. They will also show how to get instant grades/reports.

Earn a FREE 32-pad IR CPS for Your Classroom!

If your school does not currently have any CPS systems in place, we'd like to give you a free CPS 32-Pad IR student response system!

Simply be one of the first 10 to sign up to host a free, personalized, on-site demonstration for at least one administrator and 10 other colleagues at your school.

You'll have the opportunity to sign up at the eInstruction booth as soon as the NETA doors open. If you're one of the first 10 to host a session, your school will receive a CPS IR system free-a $1,995 value!

Do you already have systems at your school, but know someone who would love to get started with clickers? Pass this on to your "clicker-less friends" or another school in your district who might not have clickers yet!

This is a great opportunity for "clickerless" schools to earn their very first CPS system.
Signup is only available at NETA 2008.

You can read more about the NETA 2008 conference, the keynote and featured speakers, awards and contests, registration, and view the entire schedule conference online at www.netasite.org.
