Can I Use Whiteboard Activities Created On A Windows Machine On My Mac?

by Ann

I have downloaded activities from the eI Community. However, although they have the .gwb file extension, I am unable to use them with my Interwrite software. I can see the pages, but none of my tools will work over the top of the activity. Is it possible to make use of these activities?

This is a definitely a frequently asked question by Mac users! We have a large number of Mac users in our states and this is definitely an issue they run into when they download a file from eI Community or open one from the premade Interwrite content package that is installed.

If the activity was created on a Windows machine and you are trying to use it on your Mac, your Interwrite tools will not work over the top of it.

However, below is a video created by our very own Dustin Frank that demonstrates a tip that is, though not ideal, a great workaround to this issue.
