What The Learning Series Offers

All Learning Series questions promote students' abilities to correctly analyze situations and apply their knowledge to the world around them.

Specifically, The Learning Series offers:

  • More than 12,000 unique, high-quality grade-appropriate questions specifically aligned to state standards and core curriculum topics in language arts, math, reading, science, and social studies
  • An additional 2,100 questions for K-2 reading and math aligned to core curriculum topics
  • More than 290,000 unique questions variations (dynamic questions) to test the same concept
  • Correlations to 31 states as well as a topic-aligned product for non-correlated states

Uses of Learning Series Questions

Learning Series questions can be used to:

  • Implement a uniform assessment program across disciplines.

  • Promote students' abilities to analyze situations and apply higher-0rder thinking skills.

ExamView Learning Series Standards Alignment in KS & NE

ExamView Learning Series works in concert with the ExamView Assessment Suite to produce study guides, formative tests, and summative assessments-- all with questions specifically aligned with the Kansas Curricular Standards (KCS). Students can complete KCS-aligned assessments on paper, on a local area network (LAN), or on the Internet.

Math: Aligned with the 2003 KCS for Mathematics Education, the Learning Series math item banks for each grade level are organized by the following topic categories: Number and Computation, Algebra, Geometry, and Data.

Reading: Item banks align with the 2003 KCS for Reading Education, and include cross-curricular reading selections in a variety of genres with questions designed to assess higher-order thinking skills. Each reading passage offers multiple questions that correspond to that passage.

Science: Aligned with the 2005 KCS for Science Education, the Learning Series organized item banks for target grades 5, 8, and 10 by the following topic categories: Science as Inquiry, Physical Science, Life Science, Earth and Space Science, Science and Technology, Science in Personal and Environmental Perspectives, History and Nature of Science, Chemistry (grade 8 and 10), and Physics (grades 8 and 10).

Social Studies: Item banks for grades 8-12 align with the 2005 KCS for History and Government; Economics and Geography. Topic categories include Civics-Government, Economics, Geography, History (grade 8), US History, and World History.

As of yet, ExamView Learning Series is not aligned with Nebraska state standards. However, this does not mean that Learning Series is useless in states like Nebraska that don't have the questions aligned to state standards! All ExamView Learning Series questions are topic-aligned, so you still get all of the fantastic content, whether the questions are standard aligned or not.
