How to turn clickers on?

Simple question--proving to be more difficult than it should be. How do I turn on the clicker? I've tried holding down the asterisk key ("H"), but that doesn't seem to work. CPS is started up on the computer, but no luck.

Turning on Your IR Clickers

It sounds as though you are using our IR response pads. These pads do not need to be turned on; they communicate via infrared rays and send a brief impulse to the receiver each time you press a button to respond.

More than likely the receiver is not connected or recognized, causing the remotes to not be recording any responses. There are two options to turn on your receiver:

1. Plug in the receiver BEFORE you turn on CPS. CPS will auto search for and set up the receiver for you if plugged in prior to opening CPS, OR...

2. Manually detect the receiver by going to Settings>Delivery Options>Receiver Tab>Detect Receiver.
